It was given to be by a staff's daughter which she had plenty of them in a real cookie tin.
When I received it, I was like ...."Awwww".
It's the best chocolate chip cookie ever because it warms my soul and melts my heart.
Ahhhh... such makes one of the beauty little facets of life....
Sorry for the deception. I hope it appeals to you in the sweetest way as it did for me.

Look's Cake Shop Chocolate
A million apologies to those who have been visiting my chocolate blog but have failed to see any recent updates since April.Sorry for the delay...
It's been chocolaty all along but I haven't really got the urge to blog here as I was busy with my main site.
Anyways, I wish to bring to all of you today what my buddy gave to me.... Look's Cake Shop Chocolate.
Well, the concept for this chocolate is actually a chocolate covered creamy strawberry short cake.
Let's check out the package....
I personally adore its petite size.
Unwrapped....
Awwww.... these are the moments when chocolates are hard to be relished... they're so tiny and cute to be eaten....
First bite was ambiguous as it's not as sweet as it look to be. After melting its bits in my tongue, I could taste the slightly sour taste of dried strawberry, rum and vanilla cream. Yum!
The second bite just went along automatically. I did not need to deliberate. Its aromatic rum and strawberry went flawlessly well with the cream which resembled the irresistible strawberry short cake. I love this concept.... it is simply combining all the good things in the world to one tiny piece of chocolate....
My house mate enjoyed it as well...
For me, I think it's a good snack to lift up a lonely night.

Back for Good~ Easter Choc--> Gotta be Eggs from Cadbury
Well, I've been away for quite some months now but that really doesn't mean my chocolate cravings have stopped.
My cammie was down on me and the macro shots were totally horrible. Haven't got myself a new one though but it seems that the pictures these days are quite fine.
Hence, I'm back for good.
I'm back to blog about chocolates my way- amateur but fun way.
Easter has just passed us by. The ideal chocolate to blog about is Cadbury Eggs who were given to me by a friend of mine all the way from Uk! Love them....
There's Mars egg, Dairy Milk egg and Creme Egg.

Oooooo, lovely!
I find Mars and Dairy Milk in an egg shape cute but it's too common so I restricted my cravings and just limit myself to Creme Egg which taste I was deeply curious about.
As I unwrapped, I began to salivate and my heart began to beat just slightly faster.
Beautiful Egg shaped choc!

The surprise?

This!

The yolk of this chocolate was actually a thick blob of creme slowly and graciously flow right into your mouth.

It's so much of a surprise to me since I love different variations from the classic old Cadbury!

Finlandia's Vaodka of Findland
Another treat I bought from the airport involves FinLandia's Vodka Chocolate.Vodka and Chocolate are a fusion of HOTNESS!
Here's what the packaging's like...

All the little hotties come tumbling out....

Unwrap it....duh!

Savor the heavenly goodness of flowing vodka and bittersweet chocolate. You might also get to bite on some caramelized vodka which is crunchy. Don't force biting it, let it melt in your mouth, you'll love it as much as I do if you crave liquor chocolates.

The bitterness of these little hotties competes with the strong taste of vodka for your desire to warm your soul.
Both won mine.
What about you?

Chocolate Fruit Tarts
CHOCOLATE FRUIT TART
Chocolate Tarts for 30 Servings
1 Day of Preparation in advance is needed before serving.
Ingredients:
1.) 30 Ready-made pie shells from bakery shop. If you can't get it, you may bake your own pie shells with this recipe.
2.) 2 Bars of 200g Hershey's Bittersweet Cooking Chocolate, or any chocolate of your choice.
3.) 200 ml of Whipping Cream
4.) 1 can of Syrup Peach, 15 Strawberries (Optional: You may choose your own fruits)
Steps to do it:
Ahhhh.... The chocolates.... Yummy!
Firstly, unwrapped them... of course.

You may choose to melt your chocolate in the microwave or on a metal tin on boiling water. Do it at your own risk.
Melt on top of boiling water:
For the first 3minutes, allow the chocolates to soften and when they are 75% melted, add whipping cream bit by bit and keep stirring the mixture so that it won't be burnt or run dry. Stir until 200ml of whipping cream is added to the chocolates.

Melt in the Microwave:
Just insert the whipping cream and all chocolates into a bowl and melt them for 15 minutes. Stir them well once the chocolate is melted.
Arrange your pie shells.

Fill the pie shells with chocolate mixture.

Refrigerate them!

Meanwhile, slice fruits that you would like to top the chocolate tart. Do place them ontop of the pie shells once the chocolate mixture is hardened in the pie shell.

To be more creative, you can top the tarts with nuts instead of fruits.
If you desire a stronger taste, you may mix the chocolate mixture with Kahlua or minimal amount of rum and top the tarts with colored sugar.
There you go, a simple, delicious Chocolate Fruit Tart.
Recipe is extracted from Her World Cookbook, Volume 73.

Godiva's Truffles-, Belgium- An exquisite encounter
Dear Chocolate Maniacs,I was at Taipei 101 and all the shops there were mostly international designer's brands and I spotted a Godiva stand which I realize is heavenly and quite expensive.
I managed to buy a small bar of 4 segmented Raspberry Dark Chocolate for RM 22++(After conversion).
At KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport), I knew all along there was this Godiva stand as well but didn't dare to walk near it as I was afraid I could not resist myself from buying excessively. But this time, I made a dangerous move towards the stand and got my eyes spotted at Godiva's latest truffles which comes in 9 and 16 pieces. I bought the smaller version which costs me RM88.90. So it is basically RM 9.87 per piece of heavenly enchanted truffle. I also bought a lot of other different types of chocolates at the other chocolate shop which I'll post later.
Here's Godiva's latest Truffles......
I deliberately post the pictures to their biggest size for a more realistic description.
Just look at the elegant packaging. It is not elaborate but you know it is of a great quality.
There are pairs for Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Cappucino and Hazelnut Praline truffles.
Here's what really in the inside! I took a satisfying bite and slice the truffle into half neatly so that the pictures look better than ever.
My first pick is this because it looks the simplest and I have an awesome prediction of what it will probably taste like.
However, once I took my first bite, it totally gave me a different definition of simple dark chocolate truffle because despite the simplicity of its taste, Godiva's dark chocolate truffle has a heavenly twist into where the top coat which is covered with bits of thinly scrapped chocolates melt so gently into the dark chocolate filling which was not overly bitter nor was it too typical. It was so good I almost died of being too reluctant to taste other truffles as I know I badly love them. Call me biased but this is what I experienced.

My second pick is this dark chocolate covered raspeberry. The top coat is reasonably soft and then you get to sink your teeth into the middle of the truffle where the raspberry puree is securely wrapped. Fruity and very "berry", a great truffle to pick before and after creamy ones.

Cappucino lovers, this truffle gives you the kick! The white chocolate which is shattered on the top of this truffle gives a lightly sweet touch to the milk chocolate covering a cappucino enhanced filling. What I mentioned that it gives you the kick? Simple. The cappucino flavor is obvious and there is a beautiful cappucino aroma surrounding it. Plus, it blends with the creamy texture around it. Lovely! You just want more than one.

I never thought I love chocolates with coconut that much until I get to try this one. The top coat is actually covered with bits of caramelled coconut and then you just indulge into its finely produced filling which is extremely deliscious. I sadly could only have one of this as it does not come in pairs.

This French Vanilla truffle is my craze. I love the strong scent of vanilla and cream fulfill my nostrils and the flavor of them satisfy my tastebuds. Whoever invented these truffles is/are so brilliant, I finally know why they say chocolates replace sex!

The looks of this Hazelnut Praline truffle really did not amaze me as I know nothing about its fillings and it is dark in color and the shape is not your average perfect round. However, the dark chocolate outside this less attractive truffle blends so exquisitely with the hazelnut praline it protects inside. I don't go crazy for nuts and adore nut paste instead of orignal hard ones, so I find this piece my treasure and luckily, there are two of them in the box.

Chocolate lovers who haven't tasted this should urge yourselves to go for Godiva's truffles. It is a must try, a command,my command!

Feodora's Cocktail Special - A symbol of Germany
Chocolate lovers or should I say my chocolate blog lovers, sorry for not updating any chocolaty posts for so freaking long. Here's the follow up of my friend's chocolate souvenirs from Germany. Enjoy!
I would say Feodora really has a good representation of Germany, at least German chocolates.
Every version of Feodora chocolate is well inspired by an unique charm.
I haven't had the privilege to try all of them but I guess Cocktail special is one of its best as they normally don't compile different cocktail bites into a lovely edition.
FEODORA's COCKTAIL SPECIAL
Drool chocolate lovers, drool!

Initially, I would love to introduce CHERRY EGG FLIP.

If you take a reasonably greedy first bite, like I did, you will get to experience two lovely layers of dark chocolate sandwiching an alcohol soaked cherry, I suppose it is Brandy. The juicy "alcoholic" cherry flows in between the gaps of space between bits of chocolates as you melt them with warmth. Great texture, all in a reasonably greedy bite!
There are something I would love to call the trios or the three musketeers.
Feodora's chocolate truffles namely Dark Chocolate truffle, White Chocolate with Champaign, Milk Chocolate truffle. All are michievous rum lovers! :D

I picked the one in the middle as I haven't had my very glass of champaign for ages so picking it redeems my memory in one way.

This little piece of ornament reminds me of a King's crown, or a breadmaker's headpiece to make it less royal.

Okay, this one is really comforting only when it comes to the middle part for me as I was expecting a direct taste of white chocolate. I understand how it never really is that strong though as it was accompanied with dark chocolate and the campaign filling in the middle really covers everything.
However, I am not disappointed at this as the combination is well done.
Curacao....

Its shiny surface tempts me even more but I sort of have a perfect hypothesis of how it taste like which I didn't hesitate to test.
Well, the outer layer of dark chocolate is firm, bitter and sweet strongly protecting the rum inside of its heart.
Break its heart, and you'll get to have rum gushing out from it and they match very well with its entire body.
A bitter sweet bliss.... nostalgic!
There is also Cognac which I presumed resembles Curacao. My father tasted it and he mentioned that it is also bittersweet which serves him good as he is cutting low on sugar.

Next, we have dark and milk chequed chocolate rounds. HAHA, sorry for being so uncultured when it comes to explaining chocolate types and shapes or sizes, I really have to work on it.
Well, it is the usual milk chocolate we have here but its texture like the rest of other goodies in the box is rather firm and it is not extremely creamy but it is good for chocolate lovers who prefer a less sinful encounter.

An entire piece of bittersweet journey for this dark chocolate version of the same category.

The elegantly dainty sticks below which is half wrapped with gold wrappers has the same taste and texture of the chocolate above which were shaped in round. A nice break between cocktail picks.
Milk and Dark chocolate sticks.

Lastly, I have to introduce everyone's favorite which is Almond Crisp.

I proudly mentioned that it is everyone's favorite not because I want to generalize everyone's taste but it falls between being too plain(solely milk or dark chocolate) and too strong(rum filled) and it is extremely crispy.
It caters very satisfying nutty bites....tempts me to get the second piece of it right after my first.
In a "chocolateshell", this is a must try for rum and chocolate lovers. Enjoy!
